On a warm spring day in Sarasota, I found myself marveled at the beauty of the lush palm trees and the flowering flora and fauna within the grounds of Curious & Kind Education; a magical and un-rushed childhood haven where learning is truly reimagined.

The sound of children’s laughter filled the air as I wandered through the bending tree limbs and beautiful flowers around me. I couldn’t help but notice the crystal-clear creek water flowing downstream; an enticing invitation to organic place-based exploration for any child or adult alike. The sun shone through the pointy palm leaves above me like beautiful rays of golden garland as I found my way to founder Justine’s morning circle.

It became evident that when children become part of the Curious & Kind community, they become naturally empowered to learn not only about nature and each other, but also about themselves. Within this beautiful mixture of forest school concepts and agile learning inspiration, the Curious & Kind community believes that nature nurtures learning, and the childrens’ ability to guide their own learning journey is trusted; in turn, learning becomes purely joyful which creates a kinder, more just and sustainable world for generations to come.

• Programs are geared towards children ages 1.5 (or walking) through 16 years old
• Educational approach is a mixture of inspiration from forest schooling concepts and agile learning centers
• Learning style is child-lead and play/project-based
• Programs are offered at affordable rates with optional assistance for select programs if needed
• Grounds are gorgeous, lush and tropical with plenty of space for children to explore and play
