Enjoy a simple owl nature craft with the kiddos in your life!
One of our favorite things to do with my 6 and almost 8-year-old are arts and crafts with nature (like our Evergreen Art!). Not only does it increase imagination, creativity and dexterity, but it gifts us ample time outdoors. I like to think that it allows for us to underhandedly teach our children how to make beautiful things out of simple, open-ended materials.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
*Bark
*Nature Treasures
*Hot Glue Gun
Venture out into the woodlands on a nature walk to find your needed materials; be sure to take your time and allow your child to lead the way. After enjoying your time outdoors (or during if you happen to have a cordless hot glue gun on hand), hot glue your found nature treasures onto the bark (or “body”) of your owl. Enjoy as cute home or play area decor – be sure to write the year on the back!
